I'm taking a petco puppy training class right now, and it's okay. it's not amazing. it's mostly the trainer teaching you exercises to do with your puppy so that you can develop necessary skills with your puppy (like getting your puppy to stop chewing or eating something they shouldn't, getting your puppy to come back i.e. recall, getting your. My petco dog training course did suck. so fucking badly though. i'm glad i am at least somewhat naturally knowledgeable with dogs already. my mentor was always eating. but i've read books outside of petco, i'm in vet tech classes, etc. and i am also no longer a fan of the dog whisperer. but, i'm too lazy to post a big spiel.. I just wouldn’t recommend petco training to anyone in my area. that trainer is no longer at that petco but really it only takes one bad experience to not like a place anymore....that trainer also tried to pass a law here in town that all cats needed to be leashed while outside... it didn’t pass. lol..
The basic class i had to teach was not a clicker class, then they had a separate clicker class. you should expect to be teaching the petco way, which at least was positive training. and allypr had it right, i worked jobs other than training 90% of the time..
